Being in NC on vacation for a whole week and not working on my pictures like I’d hoped
while gone, I have really slacked in my work!  I finally completed these wedding photos last night from Sept 27th.  There are about 700
which went online last night at Pictage.  She’s going to be overwhelmed but I
think she’s going to be quite happy!  Being I was in the wedding as the
only bridesmaid, it was quite a challenge shooting the pictures while
attending to Heather in every way possible.  (First time at that!)
Somehow I got it done, but I can’t not give my friend, Vickie, a whole
bunch of the credit.  She shot the ceremony when I obviously could not,
the big group picture, ones of Heather and I alone and then some at the
reception as well.  She was my lifesaver!!  Thank you, Vickie!! 

So here’s a quick look into our day.  We started at 8:00 with
decorating, then onto the salon, then onto the ceremony where we got
dressed (in which I didn’t get very many shots because I was getting
dressed, too!), then you know how the rest goes.  It was a really
beautiful wonderful day.  Thank you, Heather, for having me as two such
very important people in your day.  Love you lots!!

Carved pumpkins sat all over.  This one sat at the head table in front of the bride and groom all illuminated.  Was just so beautiful!

Abby & Matt were a very photogenic beautiful couple, and I might be a little biased because they’re my cousins, but the truth is, they are.  My good friend, Patty, helped assist me and we had a really great time.  Thanks again, dear cousins, for asking me to be such a large part of your day.  I wish you nothing but true happiness and lots and lots of cute little blue-eyed babies   xo

Another wonderful couple who I had a lot of fun with, this time in June.  My mom’s birthday to be exact! 

Nicole told me a few weeks ago that she and Brent listed their top 5 things about their wedding and that their photography with me was in that top 5.  How fabulous is that?!  What a big compliment.  So thank you, guys.  Reading that just made me smile so big.  I had a great time, too.

It’s a quickie . . . again.  At least I’m posting, right?!  My family and I are off for a summer adventure for the next few days, stopping by a snazzy water park for a day and then driving to Oklahoma from Illinois to see my brother and sister-in-law’s new house.  My husband’s not been to OK to see where they live yet and he really wants to go.  We happen to have a weekend free, so we  are going in a motor home (cool ride!); it will be a fast trip, but a fun one!  Bottom line is, I’m going to be gone and I have a few free seconds now, so I thought I had better take advantage of it while I could!  (Another reason why I’m posting is because I can’t be anywhere else as I locked my keys in the car.  Oops.  Gotta wait now for hubby to arrive home.)

So this is Misty and PJ.  A most lovely couple who I photographed back in May.  Their actual wedding was in Florida on the beach, but the reception was back home here.  It was fantastic.  And I’m so lucky I was a part of it!  They were so fun, making every second of it just so enjoyable allowing my creative juices to flow.  Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves

While I’m doing pretty well at keeping up on all my work for a change, I am slacking on the internet-side to it all, like this blog and my other blogs.  But you have to give and take somewhere I guess.    So I had an amazing opportunity to shoot a wedding in Chicago at a Frank Lloyd Wright church.  Heather and I had a great time and I think we captured some great moments.  This is part I of II as I have a lot more pictures I would like to show    Hope you enjoy.
