Saturday my family and I went to see my sister-in-law preform their dance lyrical at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall. They had made it to state! Granted, I was super emotional yesterday, and I’m not sure why, but watching Neil’s little sister dance made tears stream down my face. I remembered her dancing as a little girl…so shy and so fragile but oh-so-adorable. Of course I still think she’s adorable…a beautiful woman, actually…but not so shy and definitely not so fragile. She’s such a strong person. Here are a few of the hundred that I shot. I went a little snap-happy, but I just wanted to capture the whole thing for her. They walked away winning 4th, and of course I think they should have placed higher, but they’re a young team and they have 3 more years to get even better. It’s actually better to not place so high so quickly because now they’ll work even harder and in the end, see how working hard with determination to be the best pays off in so so many ways. It’s a lifetime lesson. Love you, Ash!!!! Great great job! You should be proud
