Baby Chloe, just a week old. Totally precious in every way. I love love love shooting newborns, and what an honor it was to shoot little miss Chloe. Thank you, Emily and Robert! And Happy Birthday to big brother, Evan!!
And big brother, Evan…I had to snap this one. He has the prettiest eyes!
Our dear friends, Jason and Johanna, came down for a visit a few weekends ago with their new baby girl, Marin, 2 months old. It was Easter weekend, so it was hard to find a good time but I am so grateful that we did. Marin is TO DIE FOR! And, of course it was so wonderful to see Jas and Jo and spend some time with them and grandma Debbie. Hope you enjoy these photos of the cutest little 2 month old ever. Makes me really really excited for our new bundle coming in September. I can't wait! Love you guys and thanks so much for coming down and giving us the opportunity to meet Marin and the opportunity to photograph the little sweetest Patterson pea.
p.s. I'm so grateful to have been the photographer to capture her sweetness, Jo. Thanks for driving down when you could have had any photographer in Chicago. Means so much. xo
We were just playing around with this blanket wrapped around her head, but her expression with it was just too irresistable not to capture, so I did
…….
My husband with Marin, his 3rd or 4th cousin? Doesn't he look cute with her, even though she obviously does not feel the same! …..

It feels like such an honor and such a blessing to have had the chance to do a shoot this week of newborn triplet girls. I went into it thinking, "wow, this is such an amazing thing!" and I came out of it thinking how doubly (or triply!) amazing it was. Not just amazing for me, but amazing in the sense of how truly astonishing it is that a human body can create and then grow 3 perfect little angels. I don’t think a person really thinks about that until, like myself, they study the baby, trying to capture every little perfection from the strands of hair on their head to the wrinkled skin on their backs to the peeling skin on the feet. Oh how lucky I am to be a photographer . . .especially a photographer of these three
Thank you, mommy, Kristi!

Little Gray is the cutest little guy! It didn’t help that he was shirtless with jean overalls on sitting on an old tractor. Nothin’ cuter than that! And he has beautiful brown hair . . . and the cutest little lips . . . and the prettiest eyes . . . and drool that just kept a comin’. He couldn’t have been more perfect for my first session with him. We shot these at G’s grandparents, and after chit-chattin’, I realized that my dad knew the grandfather, so that was fun talking about who we knew and stuff like that. Enjoy your photos Mama Lauren! And thank you so much, I had a blast!

This is for you, Lauren!
I’m only 1/2-way through proofing these pictures of A-DORABLE little G, so to be nice (or not-so-nice?), I thought I’d post a fave of mine thus far of G for his mommy.
Enjoy, Lauren! You’ll be hearing from me soon!

Ava was only a week old in these photos. What a sweet little girl she was. She looks exactly like her big brother, D. Watching them grow and really see who they turn into . . so fun as a photographer. :c)
There is nothing quite like this stage, though . . . wrinkly feet and fingers, dry flaky skin, bright glossy eyes, teeny tiny fingernails, fuzzy heads of hair, skinny little legs, oh how they grow out of all these things so quickly. To document these things; SUCH an honor :c)
