Ok, I don’t think I need to say much in this post because this little guy, Carter, has the CUTEST expressions which speak volumes, right?  (I’m sure you’ve peaked to the first picture by now.)  I don’t need to tell you that he was the sweetest little guy ever or that he has got the most beautiful smile or that he looked completely adorable in every outfit and every shot.  It was hard choosing which ones to share with you!  So I’d like you to meet Mister Carter and his photogenic parents who are as adorable and sweet in person as they appear in these photos.  Thanks, Natalie, Matt and Carter!  Can’t wait to do it again!

Meet my bff’s little red-headed guy, Landon!  He’s also my son’s bff!   (Per force by their mothers!)  Heather was my assistant this day and what a better way to thank her than letting her get some shots of sweet Landon with the bunnies.   Thanks, Heather!  Love you, darling.

My last fun little bunny session of the day ended with 2 gorgeous sisters, Lauren & Maren, and their new little handsome cousin, Jameson.  I had the best time with them, as I always do!  They’re little pros now!  Thank you, Rich & Lindsey, Brenten & Abby!  Can’t wait to see you all again.  Enjoy, enjoy, and…Happy Easter!

I have to unfortunately make these entries short but sweet.  I have so little time right now as I edit like a mad woman and shoot like I’ve never shot before, but I LOVE it and I thank you all for your business.  The last month has been INCREDIBLE!

So…the Easter bunny minis went amazingly well.  I had a blast as did the children!  This is little sweetheart, Catelyn.  She is 16 months, I believe.  They call her Catie.  I just had a blast with this little cutie-patootie.  She loved the bunnies but didn’t like the fake bunny ears so well but at least I got one that I just adore!  Thank you, Amanda!  It was great meeting you and I look forward to the future!

I was so excited when Jessi contacted me about doing her baby’s newborn photos because I just love love love babies.  I know I’m repeating myself, but they really are probably one of my most beloved subjects.  And oh my gosh, little 6-week old Nathan did not let me down!  He has got one of the sweetest little faces on the planet!  His hairline reminds me of a balding man but this “look” is so entirely adorable on a baby.  He is so handsome and so precious and had the most laid-back personality.  Of course he wouldn’t sleep for me but for a few minutes, but thankfully I think I got some of “the” shots I wanted to get.  Thank you, Jessi, and thank you Nathan!  Can’t wait to see you again little guy!

Meet baby Elizabeth, a very sweet little baby girl who reminds me already of her big brothers and very much resembles her momma, Jenn.  I feel a connection with little Elizabeth not only because her mom and I are friends, or because her first name is my middle name but because her momma and I were pregnant together.  Jenn has struggled with some fertility issues and, well, so have I unfortunately.  It really is a terrible heart-breaking time but I see it as a fortunate thing because I really do believe it makes us mommas appreciate the little blessings born into our lives a little lot more.  It also connects people like you’d never dream it would.  So I guess because Jenn and I have this connection, Elizabeth has no choice but to have a connection with me as well.

I really enjoyed my time with Jenn and Elizabeth, as I do all newborn sessions.  It doesn’t matter to me if it takes 15 minutes to get the perfect shots or 3 hours.  My patience will never dwindle.  I love love love newborns and look forward to each and every one I do.  Every single baby is such a miracle.  To capture those fleeting beautiful moments in a miraculous little life is one of the biggest blessings in my life.  I am so so so incredibly lucky.  I love my job.

One of my most favorite clients ever are Ashley and Bryan.  They came to me 3 or 4 years ago (was it?) to do their wedding and, basically, the rest is history.  We hit off, had a really great wedding day and have been friends ever since!  Here they are…soooo darn cute…on their wedding day:

Well, guess what?! They now have the most precious baby girl named Layla…

One of the BEST things about being a photographer is having the opportunity to be invited into a couples’ wedding day and then again being invited into their lives when a new little somebody is born.  I feel like an old friend who’s given a special place in their lives…not just as the old friend but as an old friend with a camera Not everyone gets that opportunity!  It’s just really really special and I’m not sure how to explain it in any other way than that.  Having a relationship with my clients in this way is the best gift ever.  These aren’t just little occasions but momentous ones.  It really is a blessing for me.  So thank you.
