My love of photography began when I was a little girl growing up on a farm in Argenta, Illinois. Sounds so cliche, doesn’t it? Truly, though, I realized with a camera that I could document every little moment in my life and then be able to look back and relive those moments. Growing up on a farm, my favorite subjects were my kitty cats and the vast land full of flowers, barns, corn and soybeans. I can’t even tell you how many zillions of kitty cat photos I have 
While I graduated with a degree in graphic design, I was able to take one black and white film photography class. Thankfully in that class learned how to go a step or two beyond shooting animals and fell in love with shooting people in their natural state. With black and white photography, you have to see past the color to see just the details and the expressions to where you automatically feel a connection. I hope to think that my work, whether shot black & white or color, still portrays that feeling. Today, after 8 years as a business-owner, I’m even more in love with what I do because of all the wonderful clients I have had over the years. I love photography. “Capturing moments, inspiring memories”, is what I like to think I do.
Today I am Central Illinois-based photographer specializing in newborns, children, families, maternity, senior, event and wedding photography. I travel every week around Illinois to on-location sites such as Decatur, Champaign, Monticello, Bloomington, St. Louis, Peoria, Chicago and the like. I will also travel out of state. Some of my favorite wedding locations have been St. Louis, downtown Chicago and Florida.
