{ The M family }

September 29, 2008 · { family }

It’s been so so busy here!  In every aspect of my life it’s been quite hectic. Hopefully it’ll slow down a bit now.  In my personal life, one of my best friends got married this past weekend.  I was not only matron of honor which was quite an honor, but also the photographer, another great honor.  I couldn’t have done it without help from my friend, Vickie, so thank you, Vic! It was the most fabulous wedding ever.  Congrats to my dearest
Heather and Lee!

Before the wedding last week I had a few awesome sittings.  One being this one.  A friend from my mom’s group called asking for photos quickly of their family.  Her husband was being sent to Afghanistan for a year.  So of course nothing could stop me from doing these pictures for them.  We spent a couple hours at their favorite park which they spent a lot of time together as a family at.  I got to photograph them just as they usually were; as a happy family having a simply great time.  I had a great time, too, being a part of these moments.  I hope they will cherish them forever and ever.  I also wish them the very very best.  I know this year will be quite tough for them all.  I want Liz and her husband to know how much I’m thinking about them, and if they need anything at all, please please don’t hesitate to call me.

My favorite family.

September 15, 2008 · { children }, { family }

My favorite family was back for a session a few weeks ago.  I started shooting them about a year ago shortly after the twins were first born.  I love them all dearly and Amanda (momma) has been a great huge help in getting my business growing.  It was her that I designed the billboards for and it is she who has helped me gain clients and some other great opportunities.  I owe her so much.  Thank you, Amanda.  xxoo

Here’s some from our session.  I loved the colors they chose.  Very different but so beautiful.  And the kids – oh so darn cute!!

Triple the cuteness!

September 14, 2008 · { baby }

It feels like such an honor and such a blessing to have had the chance to do a shoot this week of newborn triplet girls.  I went into it thinking, "wow, this is such an amazing thing!" and I came out of it thinking how doubly (or triply!) amazing it was.  Not just amazing for me, but amazing in the sense of how truly astonishing it is that a human body can create and then grow 3 perfect little angels.  I don’t think a person really thinks about that until, like myself, they study the baby, trying to capture every little perfection from the strands of hair on their head to the wrinkled skin on their backs to the peeling skin on the feet.  Oh how lucky I am to be a photographer . . .especially a photographer of these three :)

Thank you, mommy, Kristi!

{ Abby & Matt }

September 4, 2008 · { wedding }

Abby & Matt were a very photogenic beautiful couple, and I might be a little biased because they’re my cousins, but the truth is, they are.  My good friend, Patty, helped assist me and we had a really great time.  Thanks again, dear cousins, for asking me to be such a large part of your day.  I wish you nothing but true happiness and lots and lots of cute little blue-eyed babies :)   xo
